CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS (GTC)<\/h3>\n

Valid as of 01 January 2021<\/p>\n

1. Organizer<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Registration<\/strong>
\nRegistration is usually done online via a corresponding registration form. After successful registration you will receive a registration confirmation by e-mail. This makes the registration legally binding.<\/p>\n

3. Terms of payment<\/strong>
\nAfter registration you will receive an invoice which is due 14 days after receipt. Payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer.<\/p>\n

4. Performance and reservation of right of withdrawal<\/strong>
\nWe reserve the right to make changes to the content or timing of the event program and the speakers. We are entitled to withdraw from the contract if an economic realization of the event is not possible due to an insufficient number of exhibitors, sponsors or participants. This also applies in the case of other reasons, apart from those mentioned under 4.a, which do not lie within the area of responsibility of the organizer. In this case we will inform all participants immediately. All payments already made will be refunded immediately. Further claims of the visitors are excluded, unless the organizer is guilty of intent or gross negligence.<\/p>\n

4.a <\/strong>If a restriction declared by the federal or state level applies to the event period, which makes the implementation of the event impossible, the contract is subject to the resolutory condition that<\/p>\n

– the holding of the event would be prohibited one month before its contractually agreed start due to governmental measures on the occasion of the Corona pandemic.<\/p>\n

The decisive factor is the prohibition on holding any events on the above-mentioned cut-off date; it is irrelevant whether the event is feasible on the agreed date [example: the condition subsequent occurs if an event planned for 01.10.2020 could not take place on 01.09.2020 due to a general ruling].<\/p>\n

In case of termination of the contract due to the occurrence of the above mentioned condition, Silicon Saxony e. V. receives 15 % of the agreed remuneration as processing fee.<\/p>\n

5. Cancellation and rebooking<\/strong>
\na.<\/strong> You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 28 days before the start of the event without giving any reason. Cancellation must be made in writing to the organizer. If the cancellation is made up to 7 days before the start of the event, 50% of the participation fee will be charged as a cancellation fee. In case of later cancellation or non-participation, 100% of the participation fee will be due. Alternatively, the nomination of a substitute person is possible at any time free of charge. Any refunds will be made after the event.<\/p>\n

b.<\/strong> For no-shows<\/strong> despite binding registration for free events, we charge a no-show fee of \u20ac 49.<\/strong> This excludes virtual events (without care package) and working group events. Cancellation of your registration is possible up to 24 hours before the start of the event.<\/p>\n

6. Pictures and sound recordings<\/strong>
\nSilicon Saxony e. V. is entitled to have photographs, drawings as well as film and video recordings (in the following image recordings) of participants, speakers and of the event made and to use them for advertising Silicon Saxony e. V. and events of Silicon Saxony e. V. or press publications concerning the event you have registered for or similar events of Silicon Saxony e. V., e.g. in print brochures or within the framework of the internet presence of Silicon Saxony e. V. This also applies to recordings of the press or television with the consent of Silicon Saxony e. V.<\/p>\n

With the legally binding registration you declare your consent to this use of image recordings of your person.<\/p>\n

7. Note on data protection<\/strong>
\nThe company, name and e-mail of the participants will be processed for the purpose of customer care and information in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act.<\/p>\n

For each event, a participation list is also created, which may contain the following information: Company name, company headquarters (zip code, city, country) if applicable, name of participants. The participation list will be made available to all participants and, if applicable, to sponsors\/exhibitors of the event, who may also wish to use it for postal advertising purposes.<\/p>\n

With the legally binding registration the participant agrees that the mentioned personal data will be published and passed on by Silicon Saxony e. V. in the mentioned way.<\/p>\n

An objection against the publication of the data and the passing on for advertising purposes is possible at any time up to 3 weeks before the beginning of the event. The objection must be made in writing to the organizer.<\/p>\n

8. Applicable law \/ place of jurisdiction<\/strong>
\nThe participation agreement including these GTC is subject to German law with the exception of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction for all claims and legal disputes shall be Dresden if the contractual partner is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. In all other respects, the statutory provisions shall apply.<\/p>\n
